Clinic Resource Group (CRG) is an authorized provider of American Red Cross Family Caregiver Classes. These classes are called Family Caregiver Support Classes and they are currently available in larger cities in select states. Classes are held at local hospitals and other community locations. Our approved class instructors can also arrange for special class meeting dates, times and locations for larger groups.

The purpose of Family Caregiver Support Classes is to help participants gain an understanding of what is involved in caring for a loved one and know how to provide that care through nine one-hour class modules. Topics include personal care, nutrition, home safety and other subjects. This information is of vital importance to those caring for their loved ones who suffer from chronic illness or disabilities.

   This module will help prepare caregivers to safely positions and help their loved one move by applying principles of good body mechanics.
4. Assisted with Personal Care
   Personal Care Module concerns preparing individuals to assist their loved one with personal care such as bathing, grooming and using the toilet.
5. Healthy Eating
   Health Eating Module will help prepare caregivers to learn about good nutrition and helping their loved one eat.
6. Caring for the Caregiver
   Caring for the Caregiver will help prepare caregivers to care for their own health while caring for a loved one.
7. Legal and Financial Issues
   Legal and Financial Issues will help prepare individuals to understand the legal issues surrounding caring for someone.
8. Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's disease or Dementia
   This module helps caregivers understand how to deal with the common behaviors, how to provide care and to recognize the signs of depression associated with this disease.
