What to do?

What to do is a reference of planning checklists, strategies, guidelines, and helpful advice to assist older adults, their families, and providers to better navigate the maze of retirement, caregiving and disability concerns.

We have collected and compiled resources and information from numerous retirement professionals, care providers, organizations and government agencies. Special attention has been paid to address housing, home care, legal, financial, and caregiving nuances.

The majority of questions came from the advice and input from national experts, and our 20 years experience working with older adults and their families. Subjects range from the mundane, such as What to do when...“planning a vacation abroad”, “replacing a social security card” or more emotional issues of “selecting an assisted living community” or a “loved one experiences memory loss”.

Resources are organized by category in a question/answer format. In some instances a printable checklist or guide is available to better assist you. We hope this feature relieves some confusion and stress.
